Which blood tests can I book?

The menu includes:

• Well Woman and Well Man Premier Plus: broader health profiles covering areas including blood count, liver and kidney function, cholesterol, iron, thyroid, vitamins and hormones.

• Female and male hormone profiles: focused testing of reproductive hormones and related markers.

• Menopause hormone profile: selected hormone tests alongside a thyroid marker. Please contact me before booking to check suitability.

• Tiredness and fatigue: checks several possible contributors to tiredness, including iron, vitamin D and thyroid function.

• Full thyroid profile: thyroid hormone levels and thyroid antibodies.

• Vitamin profile: vitamin D, vitamin B12 and folate.

• Iron status: circulating iron, stored iron and iron transport.

• Cholesterol and HbA1c: separate profiles for blood fats and longer-term blood sugar levels.

• Testosterone Plus and Sports Fitness: further options for focused hormone testing or a broader profile relevant to active people.

What does the price include?

Your price includes your blood collection appointment, laboratory analysis by London Medical Laboratory and a doctor’s report. Full payment is taken when booking.

What happens at the appointment?

I’ll contact you beforehand to confirm your chosen test and explain any preparation or timing requirements.

At the clinic, we’ll confirm your details, complete the relevant health questions and consent, then take your blood sample. Please allow around 15 minutes.

When will I get my results?

Results are sent directly to you by email with a doctor’s report, generally within 1–2 days of the laboratory receiving your sample. Some specialist tests, including allergy testing, take longer.

The report explains your results and provides recommendations where appropriate. A separate consultation to diagnose a condition or prescribe treatment is not included. Please follow any advice in your report and share it with your GP or relevant clinician.

Unsure which test to choose?

Please message me before booking. I can explain what the profiles include and help with practical questions. Where clinical advice is needed, you may need to speak with your GP or relevant clinician first.

For women aged 45 and over with typical symptoms, menopause is usually identified from symptoms and menstrual history rather than blood tests. A single hormone test cannot reliably confirm or exclude perimenopause.

Blood tests also cannot explain every symptom or rule out every condition. Persistent symptoms should still be assessed, even if your results are normal.
