Why the best advice isn’t always “yes”

One of the most important parts of my job isn’t removing ear wax or treating skin tags. It’s knowing when not to.

People are often surprised when I tell them a treatment isn’t the right option.

Sometimes ear wax doesn’t actually need removing. Sometimes a skin lesion needs checking before any treatment. Occasionally the safest advice is to wait or to see your GP or another healthcare professional.

It might seem strange to turn work away, but your health should always come before making a booking.

I’d much rather you leave with honest advice than receive a treatment that isn’t appropriate.

That approach builds trust, and it’s how I want Tempera Health and Skin Clinic to be known.

Whether you contact me about ear wax removal, skin tags, warts, verrucae or skin treatments, every appointment starts with an assessment. If treatment is suitable, we’ll go ahead. If it isn’t, I’ll explain why and point you in the right direction.

My aim is simple: honest advice, safe treatment and no pressure.
