Why DIY Skin Tag Removal Doesn’t Always Work

If you’ve searched online for ways to remove a skin tag, you’ve probably seen advice about tying cotton around it, using home freezing kits or attempting to remove it yourself.

Many of my clients have tried one or more of these before they book.

The problem is that not every skin lesion is a skin tag, and not every skin tag is suitable for home treatment. Incorrect treatment can cause irritation, bleeding or simply fail to remove the lesion completely.

A professional assessment means you know exactly what you’re dealing with before deciding on treatment. If cryotherapy is appropriate, I’ll explain what to expect and answer any questions. If it isn’t, I’ll point you in the right direction.

Getting an honest opinion first is often the quickest route to the right outcome.
